Only one person voted for before September 6th as the day the babies would be born. How intuitive and brilliant she is (Good job, Martha!). Tonight at 7:30 we will be going in for the c-section and Hermie and Iggy will be here.
Oddly enough, I am very calm. I thought I'd be all crazed, but I'm just tired and relieved.
Watch the blog in the coming days for a birth announcement and pictures of the Twinsies!

ReplyDeleteWant some advice?
1. When the doctors tell you that you may not eat until you pass gas after your c-section, believe them. :) Really, the gas pain is the only pain you may feel if you eat before you pass gas.
2. Take the pain meds they recommend, then you'll be able to enjoy every minute of the babies' first days.
3. If you're breastfeeding, take advantage of your hospital's lactation consultant, even if you feel comfortable with what you're doing, she can give you invaluable advice!
4. Smile, often, because those pictures will be around for many years to come!
Best wishes to you and your family! xoxo- Kathy
Wow! You must be so excited! I'm sure you're enjoying the time with your new babies. I'm so happy for you both! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteI second everything Kathy said! And eat to foods slowly--soups and stuff and then slowly getting more solid. I didn't have a good time with the gas; I took gas medicine all the time, lol.
ReplyDeleteAnd congratulations Mama!!! I'm so happy for you, that you made it this long and that now you can meet your lovely kiddos!
Can't wait to see pictures! :D
